Maharashtra Darshan ( By Road )

Nagpur to Shegaon

Day 1  :   At 6 am leave and reach Shegaon  by 11:30 pm. Check in at Bhakti Niwas and go for a darshan to Gajanan Maharaj Temple  by 12:30 pm. It is a serene, quiet and religious place (other than important days it is not so crowded). Have lunch and take rest and then move in to garden. The garden has everything to offer. Other than joy rides, toy train and children’s park, there is a lot to enjoy like serene  and clean surroundings which will drench you in spirituality.Stay overnight.

 

Shegaon to Shirdi and Shirdi to Nashik

Day 2 :  At 6 am leave and reach Shirdi by 1:30 pm. Refresh in Bhakti Niwas or a hotel and go for a darshan to Sai Mandir( very crowded throughout the year) .By 5:00 pm you can start for Nashik which will hardly take an hour or so. Book a hotel and take rest. 

                         

Day 3 and 4 : Lots of places are here worth visiting . Mythological and religious places will enchant you with their beauty and simplicity . From temples to forests to caves, everything is there. Spend one full day there. Next day pack on and visit the Divine Triumbakeshwar, the origin of river Godavari. After lunch head on for Pune

               

Day 5 and 6 : Reach Pune by evening. Book a hotel. Next day go for sightseeing in the city itself. Next day you may plan for Lhvasa and Lonavala.

          

Day 7 and 8 : Leave for Raigad at 6 a m. Through most natural spectacular scenic spots very soon you will find yourself in the beach town of Shrivardhan. Sip coconut water and then head towards Divyagar. This is the most happening place in Raigad. Beaches, Adventure sports, Spots for photo sessions, Restaurants (Khanawal ), Guest houses, hotels, resorts, temples, forts and what not’. You desire and you will get it few kms away. Stay overnight and next day enjoy Zanjira fort ( fort made by Shivaji amidst the Arabian sea),  have lunch and then head on to Aurangabad after 3 pm. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

 

Day 9 : Ajanta and Ellora caves and fort will keep you busy the whole day. Take rest overnight.    

        

Day 10 : Driving back to our sweet home Nagpur. On the way you may plan to visit The Lonar Lake situated in Mehkar, Buldana. By evening you will reach Nagpur.

                                                        Velu,The Enchanted Kid
 Once upon a time but not so long ago , when most of the India lived in villages, there lived a boy called Velu. He was a school going kid and being a village he had to daily travel a long distance inorder to reach his school.Beside crossing few fields and a couple of moors he aso had to passby a crematory.
 In the morning time he hardly noticed the crematory but in the evening while returning, somehow he felt a strange fear gripping him unconsiously.Although he believed his mother and elders who repeatedly told him not to believe in ghosts but somewhere deep inside him was burried the fear and truth of ghosts which he couldn't wipe out from his head
 One fine day as usual he had gone to school. It was winter time and his final exams were approaching
. So teachers declared that everyday they will have extra classes in the evening. It was a good idea in all the sense but crossing the crematory in the dusk made Velu feel more and more uneasy.
 He shared this thought with his mother who only laughed and said that he is a grown up kid now and how he can miss the golden opppurtunity of extra classes for the fear of ghosts.
 Velu indeed was a 14 year old boy now. Soon I would be attending college, he thought " How I can  afford to miss extra classes because of ghosts out there" , He said to himself and decided to attend the extra classes.
 Soon it became a routine. One fine day as usual he was crossing the crematory when  he saw a white saree hanging  from a tree far away. Finally today I have encountered a ghost , he said to himself His blood almost froze at this sight. He felt like running away but his legs were trembing. What it could be, he thought. A ghost is in front of me ......should I faint he said to himself but then he recalled his mother's words " If we feel any doubt with anything, we should always verify it ".
These words gave him courage."If today I go away from here I won't be able to come back again. Afterall the white thing is far away so let me go little bit further and see",he said and started moving towards that white saree.Hardly he had come few steps forward when he noticed a woman tied to the tree. He could also see few well built men busy opening a bag.
 Like a flash everything was clear.The men were dacoits who had kidnapped the lady and were hiding here as nobody roamed in the crematory. Cautiously Velu moved away from there and straightaway he headed to the police station.
 Soon the dacoits were caught and the lady freed . Our Velu had become a hero now in true sense.
Mother and elders were surprised for afterall their timid boy turned out to be so brave that he would be soon getting the President's award for bravery . Everyone was praising Velu today while he was happy thinking that he did not run away otherwise for his whole life he would have believed ghosts.
